We teach phonics using the Sounds-Write reading programme.

The Sounds-Write reading programme offers a phonographic approach to the teaching of reading, starting with the sounds in language and progressing to the written word. It is a linguistic, phonic programme which systematically teaches children basic phonemes and graphemes using multi-sensory activities, appealing to all types of learning style, building on previous knowledge, and allowing children to develop the skills for reading and writing though a wide variety of contexts.
